Green Gables

Green Gables is a family-owned and run guest house in Windermere village. It is handily-placed just a one minute walk from Windermere village centre with shops, banks and pubs. Visitors coming by train or express coach will find it convenient as it is only five minutes walk from the station or bus stop.

We have seven letting bedrooms, as follows:

• Two en-suite doubles
• One en-suite family triple ( or twin )
• Two family triple or twins with private facilities
• One family four ( 1 double, 2 singles )with private facilities
• One en-suite Single

Facilities in the bedrooms include colour TV, hairdryers, kettles, tea & coffee.
We are open just about all year round and we have special offers in winter. Please ask for details. Unlike many guest-houses, we have a comfortable lounge bar on the ground floor. Guests may smoke in the bar but not in the bedrooms.
We are familiar with the Lake District and its attractions and features, and can help guests plan their stay if required. We can book tours and trips for guests and can advise on activities and special interests.
